Sasquatch, Day 2

Quick Hits:

• If you ever have a chance to see They Might Be Giants in concert, I suggest doing so. Even if you aren't a huge fan of their music, they put on a hilarious stage show. Excellent stage banter, plus a puppet show! I hope to get some pics up shortly.
• Mike Brigglebee is hiliarous as well. (yes, I know that is not his real name - it's a call back to a previous joke!).
• Tegan and Sara were adorable on stage, as well as very complimentary of the audience.
• Leftover highlight from day 1: Yoni Wolf of WHY? rocking some sweet Beyonce dance moves during a breakdown.
• Scheduling complaint: Midlake and Local Natives playing at the same time. It seems to me that there is significant overlap in the fan base for these two bands.
• Open question: How much do bands get paid for playing a festival such as Sasquatch? Just wondering.
• Pavement had a great comment about scheduling as well. The last time they played the Gorge (1995), they were between Sinead O'Connor and Cypress Hill. This time, they were sandwiched between LCD Soundsystem and Massive Attack. Not exactly appealing to the same fan base are we?
